“With Jira Snapshots, we can query level one and then pull in all associated issues in level two and so on with more levels. And the integration with Xray is incredible. There’s no other tool out there that does precisely that.”

ONE-CLICK REPORTS.
DUCK SOUP RELEASE.

Spin test reports precisely as you need them

With Jira Snapshots, creating exactly the reports you need is a piece of cake. Specify the scope of the report with a JQL-driven filter. You decide the logic of your traceability layers. Jira Snapshots exports the data from Jira and creates the Snapshot table in Confluence. Need a fresh report? It’s a single click to get a new Snapshot. Full control without sweating a single script.

As an extra awesomeness, snapshots are generated directly inside Confluence. The easy peasy way to release-perfect reports.

The out of the box coverage and traceability reports (in Xray)…were useful in some instances but lacked some configurability…like a snapshot.  Snapshot is a great tool because it lets you develop a custom JQL driven filter with several layers of logic. And that makes something like a traceability report customizable to the point that it’s as accurate as you need it to be, even in the context of occasionally messy sometimes JIRA issues”

Eat, sleep and breathe product quality

Why spend time on reporting when you could instead do more testing?

You know that more bugs are lurking in your product, and some of these can be devastating. Spending time on scripting reports results in less time to prevent post-release disasters. With Jira Snapshots, you’ll spend little time on reporting. Freeing you to do the work that really matters.

Better product quality is less fire fighting, less time wasted, and yet more time for quality. Before you know it- you’ll be on a perpetual upward spiral to product epiphany.
Enjoy the ride!

“Jira snapshots has enabled us to generate the technical documents direct from Jira/Confluence with sufficient control on layout, headers/footers and most importantly by being able to generate the required traceability documentation. This brings the regulatory work in to the day to day tools that the team uses and significantly reduces the overhead of generating the documentation.”

“However, the most difficult part is exploitation and display of useful data for documents (multi level traceability of requirements, tests, risks etc).
Here the Snapshot plugin from RadBee comes handy, and can be used easily.
RadBee customer support is very reactive and I strongly recommend this app to anyone working in stringent regulatory environment.”

Yep, Jira Snapshot runs on Data Center and on Cloud.
Here are more answers:

Do I also need the Traceability Extensions for Jira Snapshots App?
If you are in Data Center, then the Xray integration is already part of Jira Snapshots.
For Cloud users, the Xray integration is provided by the extension app: Traceability Extensions for Jira Snapshots. You’ll need to install both Jira Snapshots and the Traceability Extensions app to get the functionality we describe here.
Can Jira Snapshots report on test runs?

A Jira Snapshots table can include test run data. First, you’ll configure Jira Snapshots to select the test cases. Then, configure the inclusion criteria for test runs. Cherry-pick the test runs using these criteria:

  1. All test runs or only the latest,
  2. Test runs for specific versions,
  3. Test runs for specific test environments.
Can Jira Snapshots generate traceability reports?
Absolutely. Agile teams in regulated industries are using Jira Snapshots to extract a traceability matrix from Jira. They love that Snapshots allows them to create multi-level reports so they can see the traceability between different levels of requirements all the way down to tests.
Who can see my snapshots?
Anyone you like! Your snapshots are stored in Confluence and can be seen by anyone with view permission on the page. All you need to do is share a link to the report, and the recipient can access the data you want to share.
Will I be able to access previous snapshots?
Jira Snapshots captures data at the time of reporting and stores it in Confluence. Each Snapshot automatically creates a new version of the Confluence page. When you view older versions of the page, you will see the relevant snapshot data for the older version.

Snapshots also has a DIFF mode. This enables you to view what has changed in the recent report compared to any previous version.
